meta community newsletter

Quarterly news and project updates

Over the last three years, Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum has been working hard to develop META (Marine Energy Test Area). With 2021 set to be a pivotal year for the project, as well as the marine renewable energy sector across Wales, we want to use our newsletter to ensure that industry colleagues, local communities and key stakeholders alike are kept up to date with all META developments.

In each Community Newsletter we’ll be sharing the news highlights from the last quarter and looking forward to exciting developments in the pipeline.

First edition – June 2021

In this newsletter we feature an overview of META’s Quayside (Phase 1) and Open Water (Phase 2) sites, as well as: news of the full set of licensing and permissions recently granted to META; updates on the exciting Pembroke Dock Marine project; an introduction to our new Operations Manager; and an insight into our recent Tidal Stream analysis with Bangor University.
