In October, the META team had the pleasure of welcoming The Crown Estate to visit some of our test sites in Pembroke Dock.

Wales’ Marine Energy Test Area, META, is made up of eight pre-consented test sites, located in and around the Milford Haven Waterway. The first of its kind facility in Wales, META aims to de-risk the development of marine energy projects, by providing the opportunity to test devices and components.

This recent visit from The Crown Estate team was a great opportunity to showcase our collaborative efforts and discuss ways in which we can collectively drive innovation in the marine energy sector here in Wales.

The Crown Estate manages the seabed around Wales, England and Northern Ireland. Earlier this year it published its vision for how the UK’s seabed can support the transition to clean energy.
