Live data from our Marine Energy Test Area sites in Pembrokeshire.

Wavebuoy

We have deployed a Sofar Ocean Spotter Wavebuoy at East Pickard Bay – META’s consented full scale wave energy test site.

The wavebuoy will be in position for 12 months to capture valuable data on the site’s wave climate. We have already completed a one-year wave energy resource assessment for the site, but multi-year data sets are of significant interest to wave energy technology developers as they provide a more detailed picture of the conditions at the site.
